Got a painting or photograph that you would like framed but are uncertain because of the expense?

Frame N Print Clothing, at 81 Warren Street, Tunkhannock, may have what you need to properly display your treasured artwork or memorabilia.

Betsy Green, manager at Frame N Print, said that the shop has recently undergone a redesign, in which its frame service has been streamlined.

”This will make our service more reasonable and very competitive with other frame shops Shorts & Trousers,” she explained.

Previously, Frame N Print Handbags & Wallets, which has operated in Tunkhannock for the past two years, offered a much larger selection of frames, which often made choices confusing for their customers, Green explained.

Now, choices have been streamlined to ‘basic,’ ‘standard,’ and ‘premium,’ she said, and customers can mix styles, if they desire.

”We’ve narrowed it down to the best frame for the best price,” Green explained. ”We can bring it in at a very nice rate.”

There’s a huge need for this type of service in the area, Green explained.

She said that customers from Binghamton, Wilkes-Barre and Scranton patronize the Tunkhannock shop.

Many are people she’s worked with previously, Green explained, having managed the Lizza Studio in Tunkhannock for 10 years.

Frame N Print is a franchise owned by Eric Marsico and Keith Tompkins. In addition to frames, Frame N Print also offers a variety of other services, including fine art printing.

The printing process, Green said, is performed in West Pittson at a plant operated by Creative Interior Imagery, which is the umbrella company for Frame N Print. Creative Interior Imagery, she said, offers commercial art consulting manufacturing and placement.

Frame N Print Hats & Caps, Green explained, is a franchise which also has a store in Scranton.

”We reproduce fine art which is top of the line because we use archival inks and a wide variety of acid free fine art papers and photographic papers,” she explained.

Orders placed at Frame N Print in Tunkhannock are sent to the West Pittston plant, where the reproductions are created via ink sprayed onto rolls of paper.

”It’s almost like the Maserati of prints,” Green explained about the process.

Fine art printing allows artists to sell highly accurate reproductions of their work while allowing them to keep the original, she said.

Frame N Print also can also scan photos from existing prints, as well as perform photo reconstruction. People with old photos can bring them into the shop, where they will be scanned and digitally reconstructed. The shop can also create prints from digital photos.

Marsico said they are pleased with the way Frame N Print has been performing in Tunkhannock, which gave them the incentive to redesign its frame operation. He said they will be looking to add additional services at the store in the future, as well as participate in more community events.

Over the past two years, Marsico explained, the Tunkhannock operation has been so busy getting established they haven’t had the time necessary to devote to community events. He expects that will soon change, saying Frame N Print may offer photos with Santa Claus during Christmas in Our Hometown as well as other services during other events.
